The Jesus, the Heart of Missions Team (JHMT), Inc., is neither a local church nor a religious denomination. It is an International Network of Christian Leaders & Workers Engaged in Advancing the Kingdom of God. It is a non-profit, non-stock, non-denominational religious organization composed of Spirit-filled and well-trained volunteer and full-time Christian workers, professionals, businessmen and pastors from different churches in the Philippines and overseas who have a common burden for prayer, revival, discipleship and leadership training, mercy ministries and cross-cultural missions.
A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDERS
We believe that we are on the threshold of a very critical but the most exciting and the most awaited season. We feel in the atmosphere that we, the people of God, are setting the stage for the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are expectant of the amazing and great manifestations that our Father will pour out amongst His people. This is why, WE, together with YOU, our JHMT network, are gearing up to what God wants to accomplish before Jesus comes.
In 2002 and again in 2009-2010, we sponsored national and regional leaders summit in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to rally the leaders in the Body of Christ to be united in prayer, to conduct regular training seminars for the further equipping of the leaders, to sponsor livelihood projects for the economic welfare of the churches and to help one another particularly during calamities. Come 2014, we will again resume the Leadership Summits in different regions all over the Philippines such as in Tagaytay City (Luzon) on January 21-23, 2014, in General Santos City (Mindanao) on May 13-15, and in Cebu City (Visayas) on May 27-29, 2014. Meanwhile, we continuously conduct the different revival and discipleship conferences such as Hear & Obey, Signs & Wonders, Unleash (for the Youth), Women on Fire and other seminars in different places nationwide to further equip the body.
In 2009, JHMT established Operation Kabalikat (OK) to address the needs of the churches that were affected by Typhoon Ondoy in Metro Manila and nearby Provinces. Then one after another calamities ravaged the nation and we saw the opportunity to do good to the household of faith during Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan Cities in December, 2011, Typhoon Pablo Flashfloods in Compostela Valley on December 4, 2012; and this year 2013, the Zamboanga War crisis on September 9, the 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake in Bohol on October 15 and Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Visayan Region on November 8. The effects of these calamities are vast and enormous. In as much as we want to help we can only do so much. However, with the participation of the leaders and brethren in the Body of Christ, we were able to come up with resources to see tremendous impact among the brethren, especially the pastors.
Therefore, it now becomes more important to listen to His voice and obey Him. All the more we need to seek His righteousness. Over and above these, we agree with the will of God to help propagate His kingdom at a faster pace according to God´s timing and ways. We entreat you all to open your hearts and minds to hear what God is saying to His church today. Shalom!
